Kitchen

Time to start cooking the noodle soup and butterballs. The butterballs are a German family recipe. It’s primarily composed of bread crumbs, which makes it tricky, because if you don’t get it just right, the butterballs break apart and dissolve in the hot water. There’s much on the line here! =)

Writer. In the summers, I live and work in the incredible state of Alaska, in the bush community of McCarthy; I pass the winters in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. I'm working on a memoir-based nonfiction book on the American Dream. I blog, quite frequently, and I also have a novel in process, set in Alaska.

Thanks guys. They turned out absolutely delicious. The texture was great, and with all of the butter, heavy whipping cream, and eggs, it was a treat for the tongue…..I’m off for another workout! =)
