I am in the midst of a blogging draught. I anticipate the funk will break soon, but in the meantime, though I am having writer’s block, I find it easy to post a picture. Perhaps because a picture speaks a thousand words.
This particular bench is in Santa Monica near a beautiful overlook, one of my favorite places here. I would sit on that bench, think, read, and people-watch.
“Start spreading the news…” croons Sinatra as I type in the tea room beside the Japanese American National Museum. “I want to be a part of it” is not the case, in my case! I had my doubts about living in L.A., which were confirmed by my experiences living here. I think it is a city thing. I just don’t like living in cities. “All I desired was to walk upon an earth that had no maps.” Alaska is close. Close enough for me.
I’ve met some fantastic people and experienced richness these last two months, but I am inspired by the thought of going back to Kodiak, very excited; and of course, I want you all to visit me there! =)
I hope to write more about my time here in L.A., but it has been a strange time, and somehow that strangeness has left me at a loss for words. If you have any specific queries, maybe that will help me to get the ball rolling!
